How we do Mobile App Marketing
“Marketing is Continous ongoing process and not a Goal”
As mentioned earlier: Your goal as a business is to “CREATE CUSTOMERS”. But how do you create them? It is done through Marketing but it has to be a Continuous Marketing.
There are millions of Apps on App Store and Play Store. To have our App found and downloaded and experienced and used by customers is the key and secret of marketing.
So lets us identify how we do it:
- Identify Customers: First we need to know who our customers are. Their age group, sex, income group, location, product and service buying preference such as online or walk in or both and their percentage of walk-ins vs online etc.
- Media Type: What type of media do the customers are attracted by such as, Social Media marketing, online ads via Google, Bing, Amazon etc.
- Content – Blog Marketing: Determine what type of contents customers are interested in such as how to use the product, product videos, publishing product reviews etc. Once such contents are created, they can be sent out during specific days and times to ensure that we get the most bang for our bucks.
- Website Presence: Having a nicely designed website with proper detailed content and interactive action with link to the App to download will do a great job of promoting the App.
- Social Media Posts and Videos: Marketing has changed a lot in the last 10+ years. Introduction of Facebook to Tik Tok has made a huge difference in how people are being sold their products and services. We do provide this service which is separate but part of marketing.
- Free Listings versus Paid Ads: There are many sites where we can put your product but some regular paid advertising is also critical. Once we determine above factors, we can recommend how we can use these avenues.
- New Customers vs Old customers: It is not easy to get a new customer but once obtained our marketing efforts should include Retaining them. To retain them we find out who is buying what, how often, quantity etc. Once we have the data, the next strategy would be to Market the existing customers, with discounts, special offers, pre-launch special offer, giveaways, rewarding surveys etc.
- Emails, Texts (Push Notifications) etc: Once we identify and narrow down who the customers would be, a database of such can be purchased and they can be marketed with our products. Although we would not spam but do this very sensibly.
- Marketing Never Stops: As mentioned above it is a continuous process and would not and should not stop. A specific budget should be allocated to ensure that we keep our presence in the market and stay competitive against our competition.
Final note: Having a Great Customer Service will go a long way. Ensure that the customer service department is experienced and trained in the products and services you provide.

One more Important Note: Try to keep the customers happy and deal with any problems and issues as soon as possible and TRY to get POSITIVE reviews from them (while you are on the phone).

What we did: In the recent past, we specialized in Wedding Gown Cleaning, Preservation and Restoration. We collected 150 ALL 5 STAR REVIEWS over a period of 2-3 years. The way we did it was by sending Before and After pictures of the gown BEFORE they came to pick them up. The brides were so thrilled to see the pictures and videos that they would write the reviews and give us 5 Stars even before they had picked up the gown packed in the box.
